FLOW RATE :
This is the most important aspect to consider when choosing what size gas geyser you may need. The maximum Flow rate(demand)needs to match the capabilities of gas geyser (Supply)
DETERMINING THE FLOW RATE- BUCKET TEST
Run the cold water tap of the shower, bath, or basin into a bucket for 1 minute (Wherever the hot water will be needed or highest demand of hot water)
Run the cold water at the flowrate / pressure that you would normally use it at. Then measure how many liters you have in the bucket. This information give us a flow rate of X liters/ min.
We can use this to determine the size of the gas geyser required for the outlet by selecting the next size geyser up ( if the flow rate is 8L/Min at maximum demand you will select a 10L geyser)
Where multiple outlets are used at the same time , we need to measure their combined flow rates with both taps running. Turn both taps on , leave them on and measure each tap individually. Add both flow rate figures to get your maximum demand.
